✨What is HyZ? HyZ is a planned Hytale multiplayer open world pvx/looting concept inspired by survival experiences like DayZ. If you've played DayZ or similar survival games, you know what we're going for—that tension of not knowing if the next player you meet will trade with you, team up, or put a knife in your back. We're in the early concept/planning stage, you can play on the server but everything is experimental and mostly for stress testing. (We encourage SMP, come join) Right now it's essentially a playground where we're testing systems and seeing how the server handles load. You're welcome to hop on, build, explore, and hang out with others doing the same. Just know that things might break, change, or reset as we develop. We are currently trying to gather interest, share progress, and eventually recruit builders/devs/staff. If you're the type who enjoys being part of something from the very beginning and watching it grow, this is your chance to get in early. We will be planning and conceptualizing the world until v2 gen comes out, for now we can test builds etc. The world design is a big part of what makes DayZ-style gameplay work—you need the right mix of open terrain, choke points, loot locations, and hiding spots. We're putting serious thought into how the map should be structured before committing to building it. ✨Will this be a hub server? More than likely. We'd like to keep it simple for now with SMP, once we start working on the HyZ world we will add a new realm for it and potentially other things. The hub approach lets us run multiple experiences without fragmenting the community—you can hang out in SMP when you want something chill, then jump into HyZ when you're ready for the survival experience. ✨What's the vision/gameplay? Roguelike survival Open world PVP Looting + exploration Risk/reward encounters with other players "Make your own story" gameplay (alliances, betrayal, trade, rescue, etc.) The core loop is about venturing out, finding gear, and deciding how to interact with others you meet along the way. Every encounter is a gamble—that player might have better loot than you and be willing to fight for yours, or they might be desperate for allies and willing to share. The permadeath element means your choices carry real weight. Exact systems will be shared as the design solidifies. We're still working out the specifics of loot tables, spawn mechanics, and progression, but we'll be transparent about development as we go. ✨When will you have a release date? No date yet.
